Tinton Falls Little League, as do many other youth sports leagues, includes a work bond that is payable at the time of registration. The bond is applicable to players in baseball's Rookie, Minor, and Majors Divisions, and the bond amount is $75 per family. To receive reimbursement, you need to work 4 hours in our snack stand, or, if you have more than one child registered, work 6 hours. You do have the option to donate the $75 to TFLL if you do not wish to work the snack stand.
Team Managers, and their family, are exempt from work bond hour requirements, while Assistant Coaches will receive 2 hours applied to their total hours. All family members who work the snack stand are responsible for logging their hours to ensure they recieve credit for their time. Families who reach their required number of hours will receive a refund check around Sept. 30.
The purpose of this bond is to encourage families to volunteer during the course of the year. Without volunteers, our league can not operate, and while we understand that not everyone can participate as a volunteer, leagues like ours have found the work bond to be an equitable method of getting the volunteers needed to make our league a success.
It is important to note that this work bond is not intended to be an additional source of income for the league. TFLL wants to refund each bond payment at the end of the season.
